Our Dogs

Our dogs are much loved pets and companions. Portuguese Sheepdogs are

highly intelligent and very active dogs. They like to be involved in everything

that is going on and tag along with us in whatever we are doing: walking,

visiting Dog Days events in fact going wherever dogs are allowed. If Serra are

not kept interested they can get up to mischief. For example they will help to

dig the garden or shred plant cuttings but not in the way you might wish.

We are pleased with how well our dogs have have settled in. We must admit

though, it was like having a couple of mischievous teenagers until they learned

their new routines and became familiar with their adopted country.

 Finn Fence

   Funfun Pikku Hiawatha           d.o.b. 20:10:2005

Finn is full of character and has taken to agility

training very well. He loves to be active.   He is

a typical male, protective and strong as well as

being a softie at heart. He has classic black and

tan and markings. He was bred by Paivi Metsatalo

in Finland where he had won a number of shows

including Best in Show Puppy at Helsinki in 2006.

His father is  Portuguese and Finnish Champion Impacto da Quinta

D’Abroiera. His mother is Finnish Champion Funfun la Ninja.

  Nespa1

Nespera do Casal da Vinha    d.o.b. 20:11:2004

Nesp'a is a delightful feminine girl, gentle and

calm and with a lovely playful streak. She is a more

rare fawn colour with black points. She was bred in

Portugal by Manuel  Correia, an international judge.

She and Finn quickly became good friends playing

with their toys and enjoying races together. Nesp'a

too had success in the Portuguese show ring as a puppy.

Her father and mother are Portuguese Champions Miko do Casal da Vinha

and Cachopa do Casal da Vinha.

Amigavel Bonita do Casal da Vinha d.o.b 23:07:07

We wanted to keep a pupppy from Finn and Nespa's litter. It is wonderful

watching Bonita growing up and how the 3 dogs get on together. Bonita is

bright, active and confident. She has her father's colouring.

Puppies

Our  puppies were raised in our own home. They were ready to join their new

families from 7 weeks of age. Puppies were wormed. Vacinnation and

microchipping was done in discussion with new owners.  Owners received

a puppy pack with information about diet, how to raise a happy puppy, training

advice including housetraining, health, care and future immunisation needs.

Each puppy had its own comfort blanket and supply of food for the first

days. Each one had its own Amigável name and pedigree. When

the breed is recognised by the British Kennel Club, the puppy can be

registered in the UK. We would be delighted to kept informed about each

puppy's progress. We would always be ready to respond to questions and

provide help in whatever way we can.

All of us. One week
